Default Buying house with no building regs for conservatory
I am hoping to buy a house that has a conservatory at the back which was added 3years ago. The conservatory is open plan and therefore requires Building Regs which the current owners have not got because it wouldn't comply.

Having spoke to the council about this I understand that as it is over 1 year old they will not peruse it.

If we go ahead and buy, would our building insurance be void if we ever needed to claim because of lack of Building Regs?
