Question CALA Development Ickenham

Hi - I'm thinking of investing in property in Ickenham, a villagy area near Ruislip, West London. The housing developer, CALA homes has just received full approval for the design and layout of 415 houses/flats on a site right next to where I am considering buying - work should be complete within 5 years. Does anyone know how this will effect the price of the property I want to invest in?? Anyone had any similar experiences?

Default Cala - Development

Hi Roskoee

I think if you intend on trying to sell the property while the construction is taking place it certainly will put some buyers off. However, once the development is finished it should make it a more desirable area for young families and couples. In my opinion and I am familiar with the area, I think it will have a positive effect on the local house prices.
