How long does a property have to be one's MAIN RESIDENCE before you can sell it and avoid CGT ?
My plan is to purchase a BTL flat in Glasgow, Scotland and sell it in about 20 years time having rented it out during the intervening time. I do plan to live in the property sometime before selling it - as a lifestyle choice and to avoid CGT - or that's what I think I can do ?? I will have another property during this time which will be my MAIN RESIDENCE. Without advocating anything dodge ( F L I P P I N G ) what's my best option to avoid taxation ? |
