Default Cyprus water shortage....
I am pondering moving to Northern Cyprus permanently. Research would suggest that the island has an issue with water supply ( little rain fall, no rivers etc. ) There appears to be rationing, not just hosepipe bans.

The increase in development is surley going to add to the difficulties in the supply of this finite resource? Am I right in thinking that desalination plants have been discarded as an option due to the expense?

I would appreciate anyone with first hand experience, advice, thoughts on this as an issue
