Agree, the do does sense your stress, on the day of the move take the dog for a long walk. If you have a long journey and the dog does not travel well then your vet may be able to help. The dog will soon settle in your new property once all the boxes are unpacked. Good luck.

I can not say from personal experience, because we tried to move, but our neighbor and her dog a lot of trouble, they found in the hound dog owner before the smell went back urination / indoor scent marks. Obviously, this is quite common until the new people and will not be a former pet / not coming back.
Fortunately, we are never to an animal, so we look forward to such a question was not a house. |

It is probably best to put Cats and Dogs in cattery/kennal for two days before and four days after a move.
That way they wont be getting in your way packing and unpacking and you will have time for them at the new place. My website has great advice about moving home. |

i will agree with what Brian said in response N6 , if you have more than one dog they will be fine, i bought few dogs before , and always seen them happy when they come home for the first time & find other dogs there to socialise with them, they integrate rather well & quickly . so moving homes i think wont be problematic , i hope .good luck to you & your dogs.

its difficult for dogs, they have no idea whats going on, why being suddenly on some unknown place. What I suggest is to make a corner for him, with his/hers old blankets, cushions, to bring that old smell the recognizes to your new home.
