Hi David,
we have a villa on the costa blanca, and are looking to move back to the uk. It is a 3 bed, 2 bathroom, with a balcony and solarium, large well stocked garden, and the pool is 1 min walk. hope to hear from you soon. Graham

The best thing to do is advertise with local papers in the area you want.

I have a great house in Andalucia for sale or swap, (check the link after my signature below for FULL detail including valuation, price, picture, floorplans and running costs).

The British, (and other northern Europeans), may have been getting cold feet over buying around Spain's costas after so much downbeat press coverage regarding illegal properties being demolished wholesale, but my advice would be to look at inland Spain.

Even 30 miles (45km) from the coast can mean a more peaceful, less worried and relatively inexpensive style of living compared with the coasts.

Inland towns and villages are generally much less developed and the cost of living is dramatically less.

Take Antequera where I live. A busy thriving city north of Malaga and as different as you can get from the the towns along the Costa del Sol.

As well as great shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife and sights to see PLUS the fantastic Andalucian sunshine, I pay less than 135 euros a year council tax! (IBI).

With high speed trains to Malaga, Madrid and Barcelona as well as cheap bus and train journeys to Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga - PLUS! - all this is just 40 minutes from Malaga International Airport - MMmmm "Definitely worth a look!"

Yeah, probably the best bit og advice in my opinion, its difficult to swop without someone viewing and having a definitive idea of the area.

They always talk about the interior of Spain being the real Spain, rather than at the seaside where you get so many tourists. Would love to own a place in Spain eventually myself, will have to start saving!

Good luck with the swap. It sounds to be a good option.. But better to do it in a reliable network to avoid catastrophic mess in your property.

We have a cortijo in andalucia and would like to speak with uk residents that are thinking about the possibility of living in spain. The cortijo has out grown our needs and we would like to get a uk property as a bolt hole for the future. Any contacts treated seriuosly .
