I seem to have made a bit of a fopah (not sure how you spell that) with my last reply.

Because I 'replied with quote' and then stuck my answers in between your comments, everything apart from the bit about PartP went into the 'quote' box.

Also, I think I must have been having a bit of a senior moment when I said that it's about being 'legal' not competence. Clearly, competence is at the heart of the issue.

I think is is 'faux pas'.

I never noticed the text in my quoted reply. Just gone back and read it.

The issue is that a specific competence can in theory become illegal. Whilst I am all for improving safety, sometimes, H & S does take it too far. (Think... banning conkers in the school playground).
