Default If you see a flat the needs refurbishing how would you go about approaching the owner

Hi,

If you see a flat the needs refurbishing how would you go about approaching the owner?

I am doing a flat and have noticed that the one next door is also in a bad way.

Does anybody have experience/advice with this?

The first thing you would need to do id identify the registered title owner, this can be done on-line at the land registry.

If you want to refurb it for the current owner, then why not drop your promotional leaflet through their door?

If you want to buy it from the current owner to refurb it and resell, then why not a similar approach encouraging the owner to contact you if they want to sell?

yep Land Registry on line for £3 should do it. If not some more detective work, like who rents it out for them, local council etc
