I think that this depends on the marketing price, in the south east properties that require work are no longer going for much under market value, where as the renovated prices are 10% over market value. I blame incorrect renovation advice, over budget spending, optimistic developers and unprofessional estate agents telling people what they want to hear not accurate marketing advice. The truth is, too many people are maxed out on mortgages and want to recoup as much as possible, not realising that they are creating a false market economy.
