Hi,
I am newcomer to UK property market and expected to move to UK in years later. To pave the way, I planned to buy a house for buy-to-let first and then for settle down. Can any body please suggest: 1) Where to find the information about buying property in UK, buying procedure……, (say, any good guide book or web-site)? 2) Type of property purchase scheme available (say, from Government subsidize, partial ownership scheme, equity scheme…..)? Look forward to having your suggestions. KF Lee

Hi
I do understand that the property market in the UK is about the most complicated in the world, but don't let that put you off. It is an exceptional time in the uK as regards property opportunities, and I don't blame you for being interested in planning this. It is a reasonably straight forward process when buying property here; many, many websites can provide information on where to start. Have you spoken to any estate agents or letting agents? They know their particular area extremely well and are well-placed to guide you in purchasing something appropriate to your needs. A property solicitor can guide you through the legals, but you will need to do some research first as they will charge you at almost every opportunity. This includes time taken to explain things.
