Default Price Reduction on a new build

Hope that someone can assist me.

I bought a new house in a development of 9 in September 2016 at the asking price and was told that there was no option for negotiation. I was the first buyer in the development.

I obtained an email wherein the builders confirmed that they were not reducing any prices but likely to increase them.

Other houses are now selling in the development at reduced prices and I wonder if I have any comeback against the builder or whether, as I suspect, that as I agreed the asking price that is down to my poor negotiating skills.

Are you living in the property now?

Have you put a deposit down on the property, and if you have are you prepared to walk away if the builders say no to a reduction?

I believe the seller is free to change their mind at any time.

Put it this way, if prices had increased would you now be offering the builder more money?
