Default Protecting your head from low beams

HI all. Hope someone can help here. I have scanned the web but can't find what I want.

Does anyone know any specialist companies that provide decent looking padding for low wooden beams. If my partner smashes their head against this beam many more times I may be claiming on the life insurance. Not something I want to do.

It's just one beam but I can see it happening again and again. I can't find anyone that does this kind of stuff. I don't just want to cover it in something ugly but want to do a nice job. So if there are any companies that specialise in this that would be great.

Many thanks

HAve you contacted any local builders for tips? Probably would only be a small job, but I can see one of their assistants happy to do so for a little income.

It's in the main house.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that fitted, bespoke or otherwise something to cover beams in specific areas with padding. I see lots of padding companies for columns but not for beams and most of the coverings look cheap and nasty i.e. white foam.

Hi, I am new here so hello!

I don't know if you found your answer but most building companies should be able ot offer a number of solutions, it is just whether they are asthetically pleasing! For instance foam/sponge.

IT depends on size of beam and location really. But if someone rang my company asking this kinf of question we would come out and provide a free quote so I would try a local builder/contractor.

What kind of material and colour were you thinking Anthony? I'm racking my head trying to think of what you would put on it that would look well.

I don't mean to laugh but you just reminded me of Lee Evans! On a more serious note, you should be able to get one of those column padding companies to create a bespoke piece of foam for the beam, surely? Have you rung up and asked?
