Hi People.
First time seller second time buyer ![]() How does putting an offer on a property work? Because my question is...that our house is not yet on the market. The estate agent is coming round on Tuesday 15th to take piccys and finalise all details and get on market. How soon can we put an offer on a property, basically the misses has seen a house she likes. Subject to viewing lol bloody internet ![]() Any help please? Thanks Anthony |

You can make an offer anytime, whether you have your house on the market or not.
It depends on the seller, their attitude, and what level of other interest they have, whether they - accept / decline / put you on hold until you do sell, etc etc...... |

As Googler has said, you can put an offer forward at any time, and the estate agent is obliged to forward the details of the offer to the vendor for their consideration. When putting that offer forward they should also report on your position as potential buyers and it will be the vendor's decision, in conjunction with the advice of the EA, as to their response.
It is unlikely that they would be willing to remove the property from the market on the strength of an offer from somebody who is unable to proceed with the sale without first selling their own property, but you may be able to come to an agreement on price for the property so that when you have sold you can get moving on it straight away if it is still available at the time.
