Default Restrictive covenats -

We are looking to build onto our house and the existing title deeds state that the property may only be used for a single dwelling.
We have gone out to the housing association to get there permission to build, do you htink they will have an issue with this, can they block our development? It hasnt been owened by the housing assoc since 1996
Thanks

Is this an extension or another dwelling you are proposing to build?

If the latter then you may be charged a proportion of the profit that you seek to make in order to get the permission form the Housing Association.

As a conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful (assuming the property is in England/Wales) but I accept no liability except to fee-paying clients.
