Post Rightmove optimistic about house prices

Rightmove said that a fall in the number of homes being put up for sale and an increase in enquiries from prospective buyers means relief from falling house prices could happen at the end of this year.The property website last month said that asking prices were within 10% of the bottom of the market, so [...]

I think Rightmove may be being a little optimistic, although I suppose they are basically estate agents.

I do struggle with comments like the '10% of the bottom of the market' - who is to say what the bottom of the market is.

People have always been keen to try and attach a value to their properties but at the end of the day it is only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it.

Personally I feel it will take a little longer than the end of this year before a fall in house prices ceases.
