Do you have your own website? If so, what strategies do you have for promoting it if you do remove yourself from Rightmove etc?

SEO, Adwords, Meta Tags - do they mean anything to you?

Getting property listed on Rightmove I would presume is an investment, not a cost.

Do you have a backup marketing plan if you don't list on the big portals?

As with any marketing channel you have check where your sales are coming from and evaluate its effectiveness. How many buyers/enquiries did you get in the last six months from these portals and how many resulted in completions? Do you ask your prospects how they found you? Only by tracking these metrics can you determine whether continuing to advertise on RightMove, property finder etc is right for you.

Rightmove is damn expensive and we have pulled out from it as well. There are lots of free portals out there. Shame as its a good site.
