Default Selling your Freehold interest

Just a question to put out there really, in the current financial climate are there more property owners/developers selling their freehold interests to realise their cash value ?

If so I am suprised at how difficult it is to locate these investments.

freehold are not as they used to be leaseholders have very powerful rights
