If the 'loans' to the banks are really loans, then why are we having to cover that?
Also, 50% tax on income over 150K? WTF??? This gov want to encourage entrepreneurship but then kill that by taxing heavily. It will get to the point soon where it isn't worth trying to become financially independent. You work your ass off to give Mr Darling a massive chunk. That tax should have been aimed at the people that caused the current crisis. Penalise the city boys on their bonuses. Do it as a windfall tax. I say 70% tax on bonuses over 200K (200K in any one year).

I agree with both of you. It seems Brown is on his way out, his party seems to be dropping like flies around him.
Also a 50% tax is in a way putting two fingers up to all the entreprenuers in the country. Entrpreneurs are the people innovating, growing businesses and more importantly employing people. |
