Hi all
New poster here, just put house on market and had a viewer appointment this morning, went through the palaver of cleaning up etc etc only to have them fail to turn up, this is very annoying - does it happen a lot do you think? Have any of you had this happen? Thanks

Dealing with the general public is a breeze, as long as you or your agents manage them properly.
Do you have a contact number for these viewers? If not, why not? If you do, phone them and gently make them feel guilty. Get your agent to do it if you're not comfortable with it. You or your agent should ideally have got a mobile number out of them as well as their names when taking the appt. Optional whether or not you phone them half hour in advance to check they're still going to arrive..... You now know what to do next time. |

Oh and don't get me started on when they are really late. I had someone recently who I called as they were late and left 2 messages. After waiting 30 mins I thought that's it but I tried again and got through. I got a terse we are on our way and 15 mins later they appeared. Oh I said you nearly missed me and the response was well you're still here so let's get on with it. I got my revenge though cos the cheeky cow asked if she could use the toilet and I said no there was a public one just along the road. |
