Default whats next???

me and my partner have applied for a mortgage and fer some reason they did valuations and it went to the underwriters even tho could only offer us £15000 less than what we needed. we gave up and they told us we could have our valuation money back because they saw it as there fault they had misled us so much. we have since had a phone call from the seller saying they would drop to our mortgage offer but it needs to be completed in 2 weeks because they need the money asap...is this possible?
Any advice at all will be helpful, were so anxious because we cant find out till monday...please tell me what you think? stacey

It is potentially possible. In my experience, the Valuations are usually the last thing to be done prior to the final Mortgage offer being produced, which is the final hurdle.

As such, it sounds like the underwriting has been completed so it is very possible that you could make this date.

Hope this helps

Good luck
