Research from HotProperty.co.uk has discovered that estate agents continue to be optimistic about the future direction of the UK property market.
The Agents’ Confidence Index, conducted by Hot Property, established that 73% of estate agents were more confident during February than in January.
According to HotProperty, this represented a 1% rise on the figure of 72% recorded in January.
Shawn Luetchens of HotProperty said the recent index shows agents’ confidence in the market is stable.
It goes to show the significant increase in confidence last month wasn’t just a reaction to the January market, which is traditionally a busy period, added Mr Luetchens.
However, the organisation discovered that many people are putting off purchases due to future uncertainty over the direction of the market.
Over half of buyers have delayed their purchase and are in ‘wait and see’ mode.
