Property Price Tracker launched to measure property performance

A new online tool has been launched by DotHomes.com, the property search website, to measure property performance. The free service will enable estate agents, buyers, sellers, developers, investors and other property market participants to measure and compare the values of UK property assets and performance.

The service also allows prospective buyers to assess and compare property prices and returns on investment in different UK regions.

Furthermore, a guide is available to assess how property investments have performed over time against a wide range of variable market data such as average national property prices, average London property prices, FTSE 100 indices and Bank of England base rates.

Douglas de Jager, co-founder of BytePlay, DotHomes’ parent company, said the Property Price Tracker brings a range of data to anyone involved in the property market and provides a guide to the performance of either individual properties or property portfolios.

Prospective homebuyers can look at property performance in regions they are considering purchasing a property.

The Tracker works by anticipating property price fluctuations based on the asking prices of comparable properties, together with historical data from several sources but primarily mortgage lending companies.

DotHomes.com, formerly known as Extate, provides house-hunters with a simple and easy property search tool. It is expected that a version for the Irish market will be launched next year.
