UAE investment opportunties beyond Dubai

UK Property investors who have been considering Dubai may have missed the opportunity of a bargain because the market has been maturing since overseas investors gained the right to own freehold property within the emirate.

However, overseas property website, Shelteroffshore.com, is recommending a look at other locations across the United Arab Emirates, most particularly Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah.

In the case of Abu Dhabi, the country is oil rich and its currency has weakened in line with the US dollar, giving those with euros and sterling sound investment opportunities

Ajman has seen property prices rise by 30% on the news that the emirate is developing its own airport. Further growth is expected as construction proceeds.

Finally, Ras Al Khaimah has around thirty large residential real estate development projects planned or under construction, and the tourism market in the emirate is growing.

A strong demand for property is expected to emerge, bearing in mind the government’s prediction that the population of Ras Al Khaimah will expand from today’s figure of around 200,000 to 750,000, by 2020.
