Ski resorts acknowledge year-long investors

In 2006, ski resorts in Switzerland, like many other places in Europe, had a wake-up call. The mild winter meant that many Alpine resorts experienced a shortage of snow, which resulted in a lack of business. Consequently, resorts are adjusting their offerings.
Property Company, Ski-Invest, has commented that summer activities such as climbing and cycling are becoming extremely popular at resorts that, in the past, only provided winter activities.
The company added that worries about changes to the climate have not affected demand in areas such as Switzerland and France. A spokesperson for Ski-Invest said that resorts are making more of an effort to attract people.
However, for those resorts that cannot guarantee snowfall, they can always offer other activities. The Nevis range resort near Fort William, Scotland, has a world class mountain bike track, which will host a world championship event in early September.
Similarly, The Glen Shee resort near Braemar, Scotland, is opening its restaurant and chairlift service during good weather in the summer and planning to install its own mountain bike course.
In accomplishing such appeal to a broader range of people, a whole range of opportunities would open up to investors, with year-round occupancy of rented property becoming increasingly common.
