FindaProperty.com has enhanced the world of mobile home hunting with the launch of an iPhone application that can be downloaded from Apple App store.

The facility allows those searching for rental property or homes for sale to view listings on a map and browse directions to each property.

The new app also syncs with a user’s FindaProperty.com online account, so that searches on both an iPhone and a PC are saved in one place.

Other features include: use of iPhone accelerometer allowing change in orientation and swipe through images; property and agent location search using GPS to find properties and agents close by; the ability to see floor plans in addition to property images.

FindaProperty’s head of product development, Chris Boorman, comments: “The ability to perform a search from any location and see properties displayed on a map, and then search directions using the GPS device, will not only save time but will also give house hunters a broader picture of what is available in their search area.”

For potential first-time buyers the website has further good news, having reported that affordability levels improved in January.

Last month, first-time buyer homes cost 4.8 times average gross household income, compared with 5.2 times one year ago.

Furthermore, entry level property values remained steady at around £154,000 but were 3.9% less than a year ago.
