A look into the most beautiful properties in the country

A new series called I Own Britain’s Best Home starts on Thursday March 20 at 8pm on Channel Five.

The programme sees the nation’s wealthy open the doors to their property. The series emphasises ‘the home’ as opposed to ‘the building’ and it aims to encompass the story of the owners’ relationship with their properties.

The series looks at what drives people to design and build their homes. They are keen to explore the individual charms of the properties, irrespective of value or location.

The series is presented by Melissa Porter (presenter of Put Your Money Where Your House Is), architectural designer Charlie Luxton and property developer Russell Harris.

This week’s episode sees a mock-Georgian house in Hertfordshire, a converted chapel in Yorkshire and a stunning seaside property in Folkestone.
