Britons want property with a garden

According to Halifax Estate Agents, 78% of people in the UK would pay a premium to have a garden. Britons are prepared to pay £10,000 to have an area outside to sit. 5% said they would pay above £30,000.

A spokesperson for the Halifax commented that making the most of your homes outside space could add value and maximise any sale price.

Legal & General Insurance recently declared that 67% of Britons do not intend to buy any garden accessories or furniture this summer.

In addition, a recent survey by Halifax Estate Agents established that 68% of Britons were prepared to spend more on a home that came with a driveway, garage or a parking space.
