Following its acquisition of Halifax Estate Agents from owners, Lloyds Banking Group, Your Move has become the biggest estate agency in Britain.

It now has more than 300 branches across Britain after swallowing up 101 Halifax branches and has workforce of 1,550 people.

In addition, Your Move was named Best UK Large Agent; Best UK Large lettings Agent and won the award for the Best Use of Technology and the Web at the 2009 Estate Agent of the Year Awards in association with the Sunday Times.

Its online presence is also growing with your-move.co.uk now being the most visited estate agency website in the UK.

Commenting on its new status, David Newnes, managing director of Your Move, said: “This deal has rocketed us into the number 1 spot . Customers will notice the impact of the acquisition immediately.”

Mr Newnes also boasts of an all-time low in the volume of complaints after retraining hundreds of staff in the last two months.

The network is now undergoing a £1.5 million rebrand which will see all 336 of its branches fitted-out with new signage and fascias.
