Australia is becoming a popular location for overseas property investment due to low house prices. These comments follow a recent survey by HiFX Global Property Hotspot. They also claimed that enquiries about investing down under had doubled in the last 12 months.
Rather than the usual holiday destinations such as France and Spain, more and more Britons are choosing Australia for its climate, the stability of the country and the fact that it is an English speaking country is an appealing prospect for British investors.
Web manager, Paul McMullan at Escapes2.com highlighted that a 3 or 4 bedroom house can be bought for Â£100,000 in certain areas and that the Australian property market was driven largely by price. In addition, a 3-bedroom detached house with a pool can be bought for about Â£150,000. It would be difficult to buy a terraced house for this price in the UK.
