Affordable homes in Newcastle for first time buyers

It is becoming apparent that many first time buyers are looking to Newcastle to buy their first property. Newcastle is appealing to many first-time buyers due to the affordable homes in the city.

Property in parts of Newcastle could recently be bought for just £30,000. Average prices in the city are now just short of the £200,000 mark, which is still lower than the national average.

Many of the properties, commonly two-up-two-down, were lived in by ship builders and miners, these are very well liked by first time buyers for their functionality.

The town is popular with students, as Newcastle boasts one of the UK’s leading universities. Students are opting to stay after their education and finding work in the city.
