A development of brownfield land in the Bulwell area of Nottingham has created 33 business units, now completed and fully let.
The office and light industrial units in Sandstone Court and Pottery Court, were part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Greater Nottingham Partnership and the East Midlands Development Agency.
Successful applications were made to the various funding agencies following a feasibility study carried out in 2004. Nottingham Regeneration Ltd worked in partnership with Nottingham City Council to deliver the scheme.
The units were designed to meet the needs of growing businesses in the area, with sizes ranging from 25 sq m to around 300 sq m. The companies occupying the units have created 80 new jobs for people in the area.
The Greater Nottingham Partnership is committed to supporting the development of small businesses and creating new opportunities for employment in some of Nottingham’s most deprived communities.
ERDF is helping the East Midlands to overcome social and economic obstacles to create a vibrant, prosperous and competitive region.
