Award-winning house builder, Barratt Homes, is introducing CV One in Lower Ford Street, Coventry. The development is suitably located within walking distance of all Coventry’s amenities as well as the bus and train stations. Furthermore, it is just minutes from Coventry University, making the properties ideal homes for students, young professionals working in the city - and investors.
Many of the properties have already been snapped up by parents buying for their children studying at the university across the road. A spokesperson for Barratt commented that they are receiving a huge amount of enquiries from students’ parents. A lot of parents have reserved early off-plan to make sure their children are settled in, in time for the start of the new academic year in 2008.
According to the Direct Line Second Properties Index, there has been a 26% rise in parents purchasing properties to house university students since 2000.
Barratt remarked that buying a property at the CV One development gives parents the double advantage of providing their children with a great first home as well as having a good rental opportunity longer term.
Barratt added that rental returns are excellent - local agents are letting out homes at CV One within 24 hours. The properties are also appealing to a lot of young professional buyers relocating to the area.
The new phase of 1 and 2-bedroom luxury apartments will be ready for June 2008. Prices range from £142,950 to £151,950. Apartments on the ground floor boast French doors while those on the first, second or third floors have doors onto Juliet balconies. Each property has an allocated parking space.
