One of the favourite playgrounds for the rich and famous is the Cote d’Azur. House prices are luxurious but expensive, rents are also steep but yields can be rewarding if an investor owns the right house in the right location. Cannes film festival is a high point of the season and, as a consequence, properties are reserved well in advance.
It is well-known among property investors that when new budget airline routes are introduced, it can sometimes mean that property prices will increase. Carcassonne, Montpellier, and Perpignan in the south of France have recently benefited from new routes.
For the second year running, France has been voted the best place to live. Features such as the cost of living and life expectancy were main features and made France stand out. In addition, the country’s infrastructure is excellent, trains are fast and reasonably priced and health care is first class.
France is appealing to many visitors due to its good food and drink. Some of the finest wines and champagne are produced in France.
