Lettingweb, the Internet letting portal, has launched a new application on social networking site, Facebook.
The firm, which specialises in flats to rent in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds, says users can access the full particulars of a property within the application rather than being sent to the Lettingweb site.
Using the Facebook application potential tenants can view properties marketed by Lettingweb and at the same time discuss available properties with their friends and potential housemates.
According to Alex Watts, a director of Lettingweb, the average age of UK renters is 16 to 35, a range that fits the majority of Facebook users.
Facebook has around 80 million active users worldwide and according to comScore, which measures Internet traffic, the site it is the sixth most visited in the world and the second most visited in the UK, after Google.
In addition to marketing properties, Lettingweb offers a range of resources for landlords and agents.
