Rent your property at weekends

Demand is increasing for short “at home” breaks which means homeowners can benefit from renting their properties out.
Those that live in a huge country home for only a fraction of the year struggle to find a way for the property to earn its keep so a solution could be renting it out at weekends. Demand is growing for country locations for the weekend but many don’t want to stay in a hotel.
The weekend rentals market is unlike the traditional holiday market. Travellers may not require a property near the beach but would like somewhere for families and friends to get together for a celebration.
There are 3 types of people who usually own these types of homes. One could be an expat who has moved abroad for a short while. Second is the professional who has made a fortune in London and looking to adopt the country lifestyle. Finally, you have those that don’t want to sell but can’t afford the upkeep that a large country home demands. All these types of people tend to live in their homes at certain times of the year.
Rural Retreats and Wow House specialise in weekend letting and houses are usually available in beautiful rural settings.
