Worldwide property investments in 2006 were valued at £300 billion and it is estimated that even more money will be invested into property during 2007. Property adviser, DTZ, have established that investors are looking to invest around $2.4 trillion globally.
More buyers are investing in properties outside of their home country with foreign purchases totaling 40% of all deals, while one third of UK commercial property purchases were made by foreign investors in 2006.
The DTZ commented that detailed knowledge of the different prospects affecting local markets will make investment more challenging around Europe in the future.
