Ski resorts are a good investment

Over the last few years, skiing destinations such as Slovenia and Bulgaria have grown in status resulting in British investors purchasing rental accommodation. These are the less traditional skiing resorts but demand is rising.

Prices in Bulgaria are expected to rise by more than 70% over the next few years so long term capital returns will benefit investors. In addition, Bulgaria is year-round resort so a 20% gross yield could be expected on rental income.

The popular destinations in France and Austria also remain sound investments as the market for skiing holidays is growing between 1% and 3% each year. It has also been established that the demand for skiing holidays in no longer popular during the Christmas period but is becoming a year round market which will profit overseas investors.

Lapland is also becoming popular as it offers a broad range of activities aside from skiing and provides an all-round holiday experience.
