Investment in speculative office development in Oldham

A speculative, five-storey office development in Oldham is receiving investment from a specialist Manchester property fund.

Work has just begun on the 35,000 sq ft project, which is being developed by the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund, with European Union funding.

The Kings Point office scheme will go some way towards addressing the demand for new office buildings in Oldham.

The town centre development will be of interest to indigenous companies, but will also act as a catalyst for significant inward investment into the town.

The project is scheduled for completion in January 2009.

The fund is administered by Tameside MBC, and advised by GVA Grimley, the letting agent for the project.
