According to the international property portal, propertyshowrooms.com, those investing in property overseas should be aware of the transport issues at certain times of the year.
A spokesperson commented that while certain destinations in Europe may seem appealing, one of the difficulties is that they have a restricted tourist season making it difficult to get a flight. Some of the countries with limited tourist seasons include Bulgaria and some of the smaller Greek islands.
Propertyshowrooms.com recommended that destinations such as Cyprus, Spain and Portugal have better year-round connections. The company added that those looking for year-round returns should look at the aforementioned as their climates remain sufficiently attractive to those looking to flee the cold north European winter.
In particular, Spain is renowned as a popular destination with British investors, both in the rental and residential markets and winter flights will always be in higher demand.
Propertyshowrooms.com concluded rental income in the winter can assist with the running costs of a property. Therefore, those who can rent out property in the winter will be able to not just maintain the standards of those properties but potentially use the income to invest in other properties.
