According Halifax Estate Agents, 68% of Britons are prepared to spend more on a home that came with a driveway or a parking space.
The report shows that people are willing to pay nearly £5,000 for such a feature - with 11% stating they would fork out up to £10,000 for a parking space. According to statistics, 75% of UK households now own at least one car.
A spokesperson for Halifax Estate Agents advised that if you are selling your home, ensure that parking facilities are clearly presented. Driveways must be kept clear of rubbish and if you have a garage, make sure all junk is cleared out so a potential buyer can see there is plenty of space for a car.
